Redwigwam is on a mission to change work for good! To make that mission a reality, they created an innovative platform that harnesses the power of AI algorithms to match workers with flexible roles across a range of sectors. As the employer they are different from other platforms handling the full relationship with their workers from contract to payment, and handling all admin and HR for their hirers. Their platform required an exceptional customer experience from awareness, through recruitment, to onboarding and regular engagement to fill roles. Regulatory requirements for onboarding added an additional challenge and it was clear from drop off points there was some key barriers for end users which were holding back the business. With the rapidly shifting flexible job market during the pandemic it was essential to move quickly to optimise the UX.
How we helped
Aurora worked through a strategic process with Redwigwam to redesign their digital customer experience for workers, leading to the full redevelopment of the worker app. Working closely with Redwigwam’s in-house development team, we went through a comprehensive review of the site UX to identify pain points and barriers. We audited the current experience end-to-end, conducted user interviews, analysed performance metrics and ran ideation workshops. This resulted in comprehensive recommendations for improvements which led into a full redesign of the worker App. Requirements were captured into journey maps and user stories which were then roadmapped into a viable implementation plan. We designed new workflows and comprehensive information architecture for the new app, supporting Redwigwam with the development of their MVP. Our objective was to simplify an often complex journey, removing unnecessary complexity and encouraging a delightful interaction for Redwigwam’s workers and hirers.
